fIdelity uses interactive systems manifested in projection, acting as a backdrop to a live dance performance, creating a relationship between the digital and physical world.  This work is the first collaboration between Natalia Barua, Rodrigo Carvalho and Miguel Neto and was conceived for Barcelona’s LOOP Festival. fIdelity is an autobiographical work, dealing primarily with the issue of ‘identity crisis’. It presents the struggle to find a sense of self; the expectation of holding onto roots whilst being pulled in multiple other directions.  Live sound manipulation is a vital element to the work, layering fIdelity with an uncertainty in form that can change each time it is presented.
