I am a dance artist and choreographer working predominantly in videodance, interdisciplinary performance and participation. (Read more on my work in participation here)
My work experiments with theatricality and form, with dance and movement at the centre of my practice and a deep interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, design and the intersection of dance and visual arts. My productions manifest as live theatre and site-specific performances, single and multi-screen films and installations.
As a working class, community-engaged artist with nearly two decades of experience in producing, delivering and making dance/art with and for communities, particularly young and disabled people in areas of deprivation, I am passionate about meaningful access and redressing power dynamics in art-making.
My works have been screened at multiple screendance and experimental film festivals worldwide and awarded at renowned festivals like LightMoves, Agite y Sirva, and Rollout Macao and presented at venues including Southbank Centre, Siobhan Davies Dance Studios, Threshold Arts Space, Capital Theatres, Bath Spa University MediaWall and niu: espai artistic contemporani (Barcelona).
Often influencing my practice and at the centre of world is my role mother to my two children.
