Slumbering Deep is an immersive video-dance-performance, commissioned by children’s theatre organisation, Lyra and created in collaboration with Lyra’s Young Artists. Built over the course of 10 months with young people aged 8-14 years old, the 40-minute piece is composed of 3 dream dance films which touch on broader themes of the absurd, the melancholic and the nightmare. The performance space acts as a collective dream world, where the dancers weave in and out of the collage of moving images and dream-like installation design.

Slumbering Deep was scheduled for performance in April 2020 as part of Lyra Commissions Festival 2020, a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund Young Start Grant.  The Festival was cancelled due to Covid-19.
